Funding & Grants
Weipa Town Authority (WTA) actively supports local groups and organisations that provide programs, activities, events and projects that enhance community wellbeing, build capacity and enrich the diversity of social, sport, cultural and economic opportunities for residents.
One of the ways we achieve this is through financial assistance, in the form of grants, donations and sponsorship. There are currently five types of financial assistance available from WTA.
Community Groups Grants
Small one-off grants of up to $2,000 made available twice per financial year to eligible groups. This program is intended to fund small one-off projects, programs or equipment purchases that improve the organisation’s ability to conduct activities, increase participation and build capacity.
