Facilities & Spaces for Hire

Weipa Town Authority has a number of venues, facilities and equipment that can be hired by local residents for meetings, events or entertainment.

Conditions apply to the hire of the venues, and applicants must submit a completed booking application form. To enquire about availability or to book a WTA venue, please complete a booking application form and email to bookings@weipatownauthority.com.au or drop into the WTA office during business hours. Andoom Showground

Located next to Andoom Oval, Andoom Showgrounds is a purpose built large event precinct. Encompassing an elevated stage, toilet blocks, change rooms stand alone canteen bar, lighting and grassed seating. The location is home to the communities largest events, Weipa Fishing Classic, Weipa Rodeo & Weipa Running Festival.

Kumrumja Centre

Located in Kumrumja Park, behind the WTA administration building, the Kumrumja Centre is a multi-purpose, semi-outdoor entertainment centre. Sound equipment, visual equipment and furniture is available for hire at this facility.

Cricket Oval

Located along Hibberd Drive, the Cricket Oval is primarily used for Cricket, AFL and bootcamp. It is currently home to the Weipa Cricket Club. The Oval is surrounded by shady trees with public toilets available. There is also a skate park at the site.
