Venue Hire
Weipa Town Authority has a number of venues, facilities and equipment that can be hired by local residents for meetings, events or entertainment.
Conditions apply to the hire of the venues, and applicants must submit a completed booking application form. To enquire about availability or to book a WTA venue, please complete a booking application form and email to bookings@weipatownauthority.com.au or drop into the WTA office during business hours. Our Facilities
Weipa Storm Surge Shelter, Hibberd Drive, Rocky Point
The Weipa Storm Surge Shelter contains a non air-conditioned indoor sports court and an air-conditioned meeting room. These facilities can be booked separately or together.
House on the Hill, Cnr Boundary Road and Central Avenue
The House on the Hill has a sprung wooden floor and is currently used for a variety of dance, yoga and exercise classes.
Sports ovals
Large groups and sporting clubs can book the sporting ovals for training, competition and special events. Bookings are essential.

Kumrumja Centre
Hibberd Drive, Rocky Point 4874
Located in Kumrumja Park, behind the WTA administration building, the Kumrumja Centre is a multi-purpose, semi-outdoor entertainment centre. Sound equipment, visual equipment and furniture is available for hire at this facility.
