The Weipa Running Festival is held July 21st 2024. This year our event includes 2.5km Fun Run, 5km, 10km, Half Marathon, Marathon distances and our Grand Slams! There are now 3 Team events: Half Marathon team of 2 Marathon team of either 2 or 4 runners And our brand new 'The Mission - Team Event'. Teams consist of one nominated runner in each of the 5 events on race. (marathon / half marathon/ 10km / 5km + 2.5km) The winning team will be the team that has the quickest total combined time. (nb: marathon & half marathon legs can consist of team entries also) Another 2024 addition is our interschool sports house competition, be sure to enter your child's school sports house details in their registration to ensure their run counts towards the overall winner! Run on the day in-person or sign up to one of our virtual categories and run from anywhere in the world! Entries include personalized race bibs and finishers medals for the 2.5km Fun Run, 5km, 10km, Half Marathon and Marathon participants. Looking forward to seeing you at the finish line.
